Condition
A most unusual piece in overall good condition and can be placed immediately. Very attractive marble top which has been restored with some ochre coloured infill which is not too noticeable due to the mottling of the marble. Gilding slightly worn in places. Old minor marks chips and scratches commensurate with normal age and usage. The rear edge by the acanthus has a medium sized chip revealing the wood and needs retouching. There is evidence that the internal lockplate at the base of the top drawer has been altered and the handles are possibly later. There is a very minor hole below the escutcheon on the second drawer which can be easily filled or left as it is hardly noticeable.
