Description
- Beech, pine, oak, metal, textiles
ensuite with the previous lot, probably originally with pierced gilt fret facings to the seat rails, formerly with block feet and now with brass castors
Condition
In Country House condition. Gilding with chips and losses to carved detail. Probably re-gilt. Reduced in height to accomodate castors. This remedial work undertaken possibly in the 1830s. A fracture to one scrolled arm, piece currently detached. Gilding tired and wit hareas of white gesso showing trough. Fracture to one rear leg.
