Description

  • 29.6cm, 11 1/2 in high
rocaille base fitted with three cherubs holding instruments of the Passion, flanking cartouches enclosing demi-figures of SS. Francis, Clare and Stephen, the knopped stem with winged cherub heads, the cup with repoussé calyx alternating with further cherub heads, conforming ornament on the chased baseplate

Condition

marked on cup, calyx, stem, base and base plate, needs tightening on the stem fixing inside the foot which has later screw and possibly later plate, overall condition is pretty good, marks are clear, excellent chasing, nice piece
