Catalogue Note
The present library table relates closely to a group of furniture supplied by the distinguished furniture making firm of Morel and Seddon for the Royal apartments at Windsor Castle. They specialised in the use of light woods such as thuya or amboyna combined with carved giltwood decoration. For comparison see Hugh Roberts, For the King`s Pleasure, The Furnishing and Decoration of George IV`s Apartments at Windsor Castle, 2001, pp.360-363.
