Description

  • beechwood and gilding
each with a shield-shaped back centred by a patera on fluted tapering legs, the yellow silk upholstery of later date

Condition

In overall good condition. Joints sound and sturdy. Regilt. Minor chips to gilding especially to the backs which can be retouched. Evidence of old very minor worm which appears to be no longer active. There is a very minor chip missing from the base of one of the splats which is hardly noticeable and can be left as it is. Very nice detail to carving.
