Description

  • gilt-bronze and blue glass
  • 125cm. high, 86.8cm diameter; 4ft 1in., 2ft 10in
with eight candlearms, the corona associated

Provenance

Bruno Tedeschi, Turin

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Attractive small size. Very good detail to casting and the colour of the blue glass underneath which is not apparent in the photograph but most attractive. The upper section which is above the hook on the crown is later comprising some early 19th century elements, but this can easily be removed. The gilt-bronze is a little dirty and the piece would benefit from a light clean according to taste. On the crown corona section there is a blue glass disc which needs to be placed above the pierced section of the crown so the blue glass is visible. Four candelarms with some drop missing but these can easily be replaced.
