Description
- gilt-bronze, marble
- 33cm. 26.5cm.10cm; 1ft.1in., 10½in., 4in.
surmounted by a reclining young lady on a naturalistic cast base, the circular white enamel dial inscribed Louis Farolfi/ A Florence, the movement with identical inscription to the reverse, flanked to each side by a griffon and four tapering leg supports, on a shaped base and toupie feet, each surmounted by a Classical mask
Condition
In overall good condition. There is a repaired break to the white marble on which the bronze figure is mounted. There are some very minor chips to the borders of the white marble base. The enamel on the dial has chipped around the keyholes as visible from the catalogue photo. The glass cover of the dial is missing. Beautiful detail to the cast bronze.
