Description

  • beech/poplar
each with a cartouche shaped padded back above padded downscrolled arms and serpentine padded seat, the top-and-seat-rail centred by a stylised scallopshell, the frame carved with acanthus leaves, scrolls and rocaille, on cabriole legs terminating in scrolled feet, the red Buongiordano fabric with floral motif; decoration refreshed

Condition

Good overall condition with very minor chips in places and very minor wear to painting and gilding. There is more contrast in reality between the yellow painting and gilding which is most attractive. Nicely carved. Joints sound and sturdy. Good large size.
