Catalogue Note

Daniel Delander, an important maker, was born circa 1678 and apprenticed in 1692 to Charles Halstead but later transferred to Thomas Tompion. He was freed in 1699 but continued his association with Tompion's workshop, probably as a journeyman, until 1714. He died in 1733.
