each with a carved trapezoid shaped padded back, the top-rail centred by a female mask with a ribbon in her hair above a bowed padded seat and outward curved arms terminating in a roundel enclosing a patera, on stop-fluted supports, the frame carved with foliage and flowers, on square tapering legs terminating in toupie feet; reblocked; decoration refreshed

Condition

An elegant set. The upholstery is soiled and dirty which is not apparent from thecatalogue photograph. Evidence of very minor worm to underside which appears to be no longer active . Joints sound and sturdy. Minor Chips to painted finish, in some instances the under gesso is visible at these sites. Decoration refreshed. 2 reblocked under seats, 6 partially lacking blocks under seats. An attractive lot that would benefit enormously from re-upholstery.
