Condition

Originally probably a bureau mazarin. Current legs later, 18/19th century. With scattered age and construction cracks. Boulle marquetry with restaurations, infills and losses to tortoiseshell, with the largest loss being approximately 2in. by 1in. on left side. Brass with minor lifting in areas at around central drawer; not extensive. With later lacquer finish to stabilize surface. Ormolu with some rubbing, traces of oxidtion and surface dirt. Leather top replaced and now with signs of age; rubbing, abrasions and dirt. In sound overall condition.
