the hexagonal, baluster form ewer with a tall, slender spout and with a female lion and pup forming the handle, surmounted by a  fitted hexagonal cover with a figural knop,  all supported on a rectangular plinth, the vase with a black ground with leaves, flowers and painted reserves. Together with a small pair of lions, each with a faceted loose ball, the incense holder within the full upright tail. 4 pieces.

Condition

The ewer with restoration to the end of the spout, the mouth rim and back of ewer, one ear of the lion-form handle as well the ribbon from its mouth and in a few areas around the base. The cover is in good condition. The pair of lions with restoration to the tip of one tail and with both the pierced faceted balls replaced.
