Condition

Pile: ranges from 1/6 inch down to knotheads in areas of wear and foldwear; borders generally in better pile than central area. A 1 x 2 foot reweave in center of carpet, smaller reweave upper left of medallion, both visible as color has faded. Scattered repiled moth damage in outer borders, also faded. Scattered spot stains, some discolorations. Sides: mostly original with some later overcasting. Ends: upper with original flatwoven finishes, some rewoven; lower end with rewoven end guard border and finishes. Very supple handle, sound fabric.
