Condition

Pile: generally good closely sheared 1/8 inch with dark browns oxidized to knotheads and foundation, most pronounced in border. Some very small foldwear spots also low to knotheads. A 1-1/2 by 1/2 inch reweave along left edge of rug. Sides: later loosely overcast in ivory wool, with area along right side detached--recommend securing. Ends: remnants of original flatweave and trimmed warp fringes, few nicks into outer guard stripes and bites out of corners---recommend securing. Supple handle, good overall condition.
