Provenance
A copy of an inked letter accompanies the clock which is inscribed "This clock belonged to my Great Grandfather Nathaniel Curtis who was born In 1774 and died in 1857 . It stood on the stairs of his house in Jamaica Plain Mass. Madeline Curtis Mixter " Also written on the same copy is the following " This Aaron Willard Clock belongs to Timothy Woodbridge Fuller born Beverly, Mass. 2 November 1946 Given to him by his maternal grandmother Madeleine Appleton Kidder born Ipswich born Ipswich, Mass 8 July 1891. The clock was given To her by her mother Helen Kortright Mixter Appleton daughter of Charles and Emily (Curtis) Mixter lost at Sea on the sailing ship Ville de Havre in 1874"
