Condition

In good condition, the sheets backed. Imperfections in the individual prints are as follows: Esquimaux Dog: Scattered fox marks in the sky of the image and verso. There is a 1/4 inch tear in the upper right margin, as well as a 1/2 inch tear at the left margin parallel to the sheet edge about 1/8 inch from the edge. There are small creases at the lower sheet edge. Small area of soiling along the upper right margin. Scattered adhesive remains on the verso. Hare-Indian Dog: Scattered fox marks throughout the print, most noticeable in the upper and lower margins. There is a small area of staining in the lower right margin corner. Time stain and a few areas of mat stain along the sheet edges, most prominent at the left and right. Sea Otter: Time and mat stain along the extreme sheet edges. Paper loss at right corners. Very little foxing with the few noticeable marks on the verso. There are hinge and adhesive remains along the verso sheet edges. Mink: There are scattered fox marks, most noticeable in the lower margin. Several areas of paper loss at the extreme sheet edges, the largest loss being the missing 1/4 inch of the bottom left corner. Adhesive remains measuring three inches on the upper left sheet edge measuring 1/8 inch into the margin. Mat stain along the top edge of the sheet. Artic Fox: Scattered fox marks throughout the print and on the verso, most noticeable in the lower right margin. Time stain and mat stain, most prominent on the right and left sheet edges. Repaired tear at the upper right corner. Adhesive and hinge remains along the verso sheet edges. Carolina Shrew: Light staining on the upper left corner. A faint 3 inch diagonal crease in the upper left of the image. A few small handling creases in the lower left margins. Adhesive and hinge remains along the sheet edges on the verso.
