Two Cobalt-Blue decorated swag and bellflower-impressed salt-glazed stoneware vessels, Commeraws Stoneware, New York, 1800-1815

Comprising: A small ovoid jug with swags and bellflowers filled with cobalt blue above the stamp COMMERAWS STONEWARE.  An open eared crock of impressive size (one of the tallest Commeraw pieces extant), decorated on the front with cobalt blue filled impressed swags with bellflowers above the impressed inscription COMMERAWS STONEWARE N.YORK.  The reverse similarly decorated with swags and bellflowers.
