the circular bowl with lightly matted interior, the rim etched with vases of flowers and birds on branches and eating worms, the ends applied with busts of a male and female renaissance figures surrounded by openwork scroll handles, all supported on the head of a fully modeled draped female figure, the stepped domed base with matching etched bands and engraved with initials L.S.M.
