Overall in very good condition. With a few shallow surface scratches and some light surface dirt to the exterior. The interior is fitted with green dyed cork. The interior of the lid is also decorated with an incised ship, also visible in the photograph on sothebys.com. A superb example of Line Vautrin’s small scale objects, which is based on a photograph by Dora Maar published in Pétrole Hahn in 1935.
