Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The original upholstery on these chairs is in excellent original condition. One chair with some light fading to the backrest as seen in the catalogue illustration. The area of lighting to the upholstery at the immediate edges of the backrest is part of the decorative scheme of the fabric and not an issue of condition. The wooden frames of the chairs in very good condition with light surface scratches and minor discoloration to the metal sabot, consistent with age and use. The wooden frames of these chairs executed in beautifully selected wood with deep coloring to the figuring throughout. With chair design with elegant lines to the armrests of the front legs. The original upholstery retains the original vivid coloration and remains in superb condition. A rare offering of this distinguished and well-published chair and upholstery pairing in original condition, with significant exhibition history.
