Condition

Overall in good condition. The wood portions of the frame appear to have a later added finish. The silk upholstery is replaced, and as one can see in the catalogue illustration, with losses and fraying to the front apron, immediately below the seat. The silk upholstery throughout the chairs with wear and light staining. A well-designed pair of armchairs, with finely carved detailing at the armrests and elegant curve to the line of the backrests.
