Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The scarf displayed in a custom plexiglas frame. Both the silk in the body of the scarf, as well as the fringe, is in excellent condition. The immediate edges of side at the center portion of the scarf are slightly curled toward the center, and appear to be easily straightened. The decorative elements of the scarf are rendered with elegant and rich gold embroidery. The color of the body of the scarf transitions to a subltely darker color toward the edges of the fringe, which is part of the design and not an issue of condition. The Plexiglas display frame with some light surface scratches. This piece is well displayed in its present frame. Please contact the department at 212-606-7170 for additional images of this work. This is a superb design rendered in a stunning detail and with great nuance to the gold embroidery, which is more dramatic in person than it appears in the catalogue illustration.
