Condition

Overall in very good condition. It appears that the surface of the table with a later coating of French polish added at some point in the piece’s history. With a couple of very slight seam separations to the outer edges of the table, which appear presently stable. One very small area of veneer loss, measuring less ¼ inch of in length to the perimeter edge of the top tier of the table top. With a few shallow surface scratches consistent with use. The bronze sabot with light discolorations and scratches which are consistent with the natural aging process of the material. The tops of each of the tiers are executed in a manner which used the striated figuring of the natural wood to create radiating lines from the central portion of the table. A beautiful small scale example of Ruhlmann’s superb craftsmanship.
