Condition

Overall in good original condition. There is some slight rubbing to the painted surface and some very light abrasions to the reverse of the sculpture in the painted area of her pants. The front surface with some minor rubbing to the tops of the figures shoulders. The ivory elements of this particular sculpture are in very good condition, showing a beautiful patina. The onyx base with some slight losses at the corners, and a minor chip to the outer edge of the one of the columns upon which the figures arms rest. To this same column area there is a minor chip to the interior of the column, which is difficult to see once the sculpture is righted. The largest chip is the bottom front edge on the proper left side, which is visible in the catalogue illustration. The costume is rendered sensitively and the figure with a beautifully carved face. Due to the fragile nature of this sculpture, special handling and/or packing may be required during the shipping process.
