Condition

Overall in very good condition. The brass surfaces throughout are in very good condition, showing light surface wear and abrasions, and some scattered traces of surface oxidation and discoloration consistent with age and use. The rear iron log holders with minor traces of corrosion and discoloration from prior use. With two replaced steel bolts on the reverse lower side of each andiron stabilizing the andirons to the central brass arm supports. Each andiron with one replaced brass screw on the reverse facing, which stabilizes the top articulated brass element with the lower reeded standard. These andirons present beautifully with great presence, displaying exceptional casting to the acanthus and foliate decoration.
