Description
- matrice : 31,5 x 40 cm ; diam. de l'étoile de mer : 37 cm
- 12,4 x 15,7 in (matrix) ; 14,6 in (starfish)
This starfish is perfectly preserved and elegantly stands out from its ivory-colored bed with indescribable delicacy. We see it going in the direction of a sea urchin, the remains of which were found nearby within the same type of fossilization as the starfish, its predator, now more than 5 million years ago. These French specimens are very rare and we can count only a few, all of which are in formerly constituted collections.
