Catalogue Note
These candelabra are after a model by the Ango-French sculptor Charles Cumberworth (1811-1852). A mid-nineteenth-century clock garniture comprising a pair of candelabra of this model and a clock with a base of similar design, also after Cumberworth, was sold Sotheby's London, 3 July 2007, lot 312.
