Catalogue Note

Charles Collins & Son had a large export business including supplying many European courts with boxes for presentation.  A diamond-set box for the Danish court was sold 17 October 2008, lot 86, and a jewel-set box for Hanover, also probably by Collins, was sold Sotheby's, Paris, 15 April 2010, lot 38.
