- rim with Paris Recense marks for 1809-1819, the contemporary miniature possibly added at a later date

semé with dots on an engine-turned ground between applied cable borders, the cover mounted with a miniature of an officer wearing scarlet uniform in a frame of rose diamonds, with sprays of rose diamond leaves at top and bottom, the sides with three-color gold pilasters centered by floral pendants

Catalogue Note
Francois-Nicolas Chevance was apprenticed to Dominique Francois Poitreau in 1776, and entered his mark in 1780. He is recorded in the Cour Neuve du Palais until 1785, rue de Gesvres in 1876 and 1878 and rue de Harlay from 1788 until 1793.
