of bombĂ© oval form, the applied lobed rim with anthemia and shells flanked by foliage at intervals, engraved on both sides with a crown, the number 24, a sphinx above the word EGYPT, all flanked by berried foliate branches, with reeded loop handles springing from acanthus, raised on four scroll supports headed by shellwork, the conforming stepped domed cover engraved on both sides to match

Condition

finial probably asscoiate and marks rubbed, finial nut with repairs, cover with tiny circular patch near finial which was likely a support hole for original finial, scratches to interior of tureen from use, otherwise good condition
