the arched cresting above a a beveled plate cut with a floral spray flanked by arches above star-bursts above a long rectangular beveled plate all within a conforming black-japanned frame decorated with gilt-shells to the corners. Appearing to retain original beveled and cut mirror plates.

Condition
Overall good condition; the japanned surface to the frame with small chips and losses and some light flaking and mostly over-painted and with chips and losses to gilding; the original bevelled plates in good condition with typical pitting and oxidation to the silvering with some small losses to edges particular to the top corners and top edge of the long mirror plate and with areas of crystallization; the frame sturdy but with some areas of old worm damage, mainly to back of cresting rail, possibly once fitted with a cresting element like a shell, now lacking.
