Catalogue Note

Ref. 6536-1 was first released in 1956 and was an improvement on its predecessor, the Ref. 6536, as it featured a chronometer-grade cal. 1030 movement. The present reference 6536-1 is among the most sought after Submariner models, featuring the very first depth rating used by Rolex, 100/330 printed in red. This style of printing is known to exist on a very small series of this reference only, on all later models the more common 100m=330ft  was printed in white on Submariner models from that period.
