- THREE SILVER OPEN-FACED WATCHESCIRCA 1830 AND LATER
- silver
- diameters 54 mm, 49 mm, 46 mm
• including verge, cylinder and lever movements • silvered dial; white enamel dial with centre seconds; skeletonised dial with white enamel chapter ring • silver cases
Condition
The first: The lever movement is not running, balance is not rotating. Cuvette signed John Hawley, London. Silvered dial with some scuffs and tarnishing. The engraving to the case is worn and there are scuffs throughout.
The second: The unsigned cylinder movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it would benefit from a service. Enamel dial in good condition, centre seconds operating. The engine-turning to the case is very worn, bow lacking to the stem.
The third: The unsigned verge movement is not running, balance rotates freely when power is applied to the train, loose ratchet wheel. There is a crack to the enamel chapter ring at 5 o'clock. Case with scuffs throughout.
