  • THREE YELLOW GOLD AND ENAMEL VERGE WATCHESCIRCA 1780
  • gold and enamel
  • diameters 48 mm, 42 mm, 37 mm
• each with gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridges • white enamel dials • cases with polychrome enamel scenes depicting; a male and female in a classical landscape, a seascape with sailing boats, a female and putti in a landscape with restoration • two associated chatelaines

Condition

Achard & Fils: The movement is not running, but the balance will rotate when power is applied to the train. Dial in good, lacking hour hand. Case tarnished, there is some damage to the enamel on the edge of the case but the main scene is in good condition. Glass may become loose. Continental watch: The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it would benefit from a service. Dial with hairline cracks and chip to the winding hole. There are areas of enamel decoration lacking to the bezel, the main enamel scene is scratched but otherwise in good condition. Autham: The movement is running at the time of cataloguing, however it would benefit from a service. Dial with several cracks. The case lacking enamel decoration to the bezels. The enamel scene has been extensively restored.
