The rectangular case decorated with marguerite motifs opening to reveal a mirror, several compartments for make-up, a rectangular powder compact, and a comb, measurements approximately 150mm x 117mm x 20mm, indistinctly signed and numbered, French assay and maker's marks,  some elements deficient, accompanied by a navy blue silk carrying case, stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.

Condition

Principal case indistinctly signed to inside upper edge, numbered twice, 60117 and 5974. Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold, maker's mark for Van Cleef & Arpels to base and to compact. Compact measurements approximately 70mm x 50mm x 10mm. Traces of powder to interior. Comb tested as tortoiseshell. Compartment to front may have possibly contained a cigarette case. Weighing approximately 697 grams. Clasp secure. Scratches to polished surfaces consistent with age and wear. In very good condition. Accompanied by silk carrying case, stamped Van Cleef & Arpels.
