RUBY AND DIAMOND DEMI-PARURE, EARLY 20th CENTURY

Comprising: a necklace designed as a series of clusters, each centring on a cabochon ruby within a border of circular-cut diamonds, the pinched collet connections and back set with similarly cut stones, length approximately 380mm; together with a pair of earrings similarly set, screw back fittings.  

Necklace: Rubies medium purplish red, typical inclusions, crystals, visible to naked eye, surface reaching fractures and cavities. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 22.00-23.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. Secure clasp. Earrings: Possibly formed from a part of the necklace. Rubies medium purplish red, typical inclusions, crystals, visible to naked eye, semi-opaque, surface reaching fractures and cavities. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 6.00-7.00 carats, of mixed colours and clarities. Formerly part of the necklace. Both in good condition.
