SEED PEARL, ONYX AND DIAMOND SAUTOIR, 1920s and later

Designed as a tassel composed of rows of seed pearls and onyx beads, from a cap set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, suspended from a black silk cord necklace.

1920s and later. Two oval connecting links stamped with Austrian marks for Platinum. Length of black silk cord approximately 660mm, length of tassel approximately 85mm. Tassel supple probably recently restrung, several terminating in onyx beads, not all. Diamond set cap composed of circular- and single-cut diamonds, bright, lively stones. Round onyx bead with small chip. Eight very tiny diamond rondelles on the modern silk cord, to a later clasp set with two lines of circular-cut diamonds. In good condition.
