Centring on a shell cameo depicting a man in profile within a border set with cushion-shaped, old mine- and single-cut diamonds, the surmount designed as a bow, similarly set, glazed compartment to reverse containing lock of hair, pendant loop.
Condition
Mounted in silver and gold. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.50 - 2.00 carats, stones bright and lively. Shell cameo with cracks to one side, visible to the naked eye and under magnification, fine carving. Bow surmount possibly added later, highlighted with blue and white enamel to reverse of pendant loop, slightly chipped. Glazed compartment scratched and slightly chipped, visible dirt underneath. Scratches to mount consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Glazed compartment to reverse containing lock of hair.
