- 54cm. 21¼in. high
7½-inch dial set on an engraved gilt surround signed Jos: Caj Rasp Fecit, Monachij, with calendar and mock pendulum apertures, a subsidiary dial below for schlagt/schlagt nicht and a further dial calibrated 1-60, three train short duration movement with standing barrels, verge escapement and trip repeat striking on two bells, the case with male bust finial and concaved sided cresting , out-swept scrolling feet, inlaid throughout with brass foliate inlay and inset on the sides with similar frets
Condition
Dial in generally good condition, subsidiary dial numbered 1-60 has a cam to the rear but is not connected to the movement . Movement is much in need of a clean, lacking gathering pallet to the strike but otherwise complete. Case is generally good with some old restoration and lifting to the brass inlay, two pieces of brass moulding loose but we have them. No winder.
