Description

  • Turtleshell, mahogany, oak, brass, enamel, glass
  • Clock 56cm. 22in. high Bracket 24cm. 9½in. high
6¼-inch thirteen piece enamel cartouche dial signed in the centre Macé A Paris, similarly signed movement with verge escapement and pull quarter repeating on three bells, the waisted case surmounted by Cupid above foliate mounts and term feet, veneered in red shell; together with a 19th Century rococo bracket

Condition

Dial in good condition, good original hands. Movement is complete and would run at cataloguing but is in need of a clean. Case in good condtion with a few minor cracks to the veneers, mounts probably regilded. Bracket is later associated but a perfect fit and in good restored condition. With pendulum, winder and case key.
