Description
- pine oak
- 192cm. high; 6ft. 3½in.
probably a tobacconist`s shop sign, the life size figure naturalistically carved, the base with thistles and raised on a square plinth, now with a removeable dished circular tray
Condition
Really impressive and great fun. There is distress to paintwork and areas of loss to this surface. There are old repairs and there is a repair to the hands. There are splits to the wood in places, notably through the figures tam-o-shanter, back and feet. There are chips to raised detail. Tray with chips and repairs. A rare object.
