The firm T & G Seddon were reknowned as makers of fine quality furniture. They were awarded a Royal warrant in 1832 following their partnership with Nicholas Morel to refurnish Windsor Castle. A similar card table to the present lot is illustrated in C. Gilbert, Pictorial Dictionary of Marked London Furniture, 1996, p.408.
