Two large papiers peints 'en grisaille' from the Psyché series manufactured by Dufour, Paris, after designs by Merry-Joseph Blondel and Louis Lafitte en suite with lots 211, 212 and 214 Empire, circa 1817

depicting `the Reconciliation of Venus and Psyché' and `Psyché presents to Venus a glass of water from the Fountain of Youth' 

In good conserved condition and can be placed immediately. Some old minor repairs and bubbling where relaid down on later canvas and frames. Panel on the right has some minor flaking along the right edge and bubbling in the top right corner.
