Description

  • Rosewood and brass
  • 75cm. high, 122cm. diameter; 2ft. 6in., 4ft.
in the manner of Gillows, the circular top above a hexagonal stem on a tri-from base with paw feet concealing castors

Condition

In excellent condition. The top with very old scratches that do not detract. The tri-form patform with minor scuffs as to be expected. Brass inlay slightly tarnished but intact. Nice quality.

The present table is based on a design by Gillows illustrated in the firm`s Estimate Sketch Book of 1822, No. 3146. A similar table was sold Sotheby`s London, Fine Furniture, Tapestries, Ceramics, Clocks, Silver & Carpets, 17th November 2010, lot 185.
