- Mahogany, oak and textiles
in the manner of Matthias Darly and including two armchairs, two side chairs lacking stuffed seats on ribbon and leaf carved cabriole legs and pad feet (14)
Condition
Very impressive and weighty. Each chair with a loss or repaired loss to veneer on back. Some with repaired splits to interlaced splats. Repolished. Upholstery generally good. One with paint splatters to the back. Two lack upholstery completely. Loss to ear of cabriole feet one side chair and one armchair. Chips and scuffs to carved detail. Would benefit from a tidy up in a workshop.
