the fleur de pecher example with carved handles in the form of lions and raised on a lambay porphyry pedestal, the other with eagles and raised on a black and white figured marble base, together with two associated octagonal white marble stands; restored (4)

Provenance

Possibly purchased in Italy circa 1840 by George William Bowyer Adderley (1787-1872) and his wife Caroline Taylor (d.1855)

Condition

Generally very good. The example with eagle handles the larger. Losses to eagles. There is an old patch to the body of one.
