Provenance
This and the lot that follows were probably purchased in Italy by George William Bowyer Adderley (1787-1872) and his wife Caroline Taylor (d.1855)
Condition
A lovely object. The circular top with surface scratches to the centre. Some old chips to the rim of the top and some carved detail, the base of the stop-fluted baluster has been re-built and there is a section of composite filler to this waisted element. There are some chips to the paw feet. Generally in 'ready to go' condition. The interior of the support has been fitted with a steel strengthening support.
