Description
- wool pile
- approximately 532 by 366cm., 17ft. 5in., 12ft.
Provenance
Elen, Lady Harmsworth Collection, widow of Sir Hildebrand Harmsworth, 2nd Bt. (1901-1977), nephew of the celebrated newspaper owner, Alfred, 1st Viscount, Northcliffe. Lady Harmsworth's collection was assembled between the wars.
Condition
Even 7mm pile overall. Original side cords. Overall good condition. Fringe at each end is 13cm. long. Colours much more attractive in reality than in the catalogue photograph, which is too dark. Please note that all of the carpet is not visible in the image in the catalogue. As on the right of the image, there is a band of the six multicoloured box shapes, and the outer border, narrow end guards and fringe. Would benefit from a clean.
