Hiroshi Suzuki's pieces are widely admired in the contemporary silver world, as each of his works aim to simulate the patterns found in nature: waves, curves and ripples. After graduating in 1999 from the Royal College of Art in London, the Japanese silversmith set up his own workshop where he has continued to create works of a remarkable fluidity. This vase is one of Suzuki's earliest pieces, made in 1999 and hallmarked in 2000 when he registered his mark at the London, Sheffield and Birmingham Assay offices. His pieces are now in many museum collections, such as one, entitled  'Aqua-Poesy IV,' also made in 1999, at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
