Description

  • crossed Ls enclosing date letter S for 1771, both also with painter's mark of a quaver for Antoine-Toussaint Cornailles

  • 10.7cm.,4¼in.high
seaux à verre ordinaire, decorated with a green ground reserved with mixed flower sprays, both painted by Antoine-Toussaint Cornailles, the reserves edged with gilded palms and flower garlands,

Condition

One of the coolers has a very little wear to the gilded line around the rim and a very shallow chip approximately 3mm long to the gilded, moulded line on one side of one of the handles. There are a few superficial scratches to the ground and glaze on both coolers.
